Position: Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC)
A BSC is a Master’s level mental health clinician with documented training in the field of behavior modification techniques. The BSC primarily provides assessment, program design and monitoring for the child. He or she identifies behavior goals and intervention techniques, and recommends non-aversive behavioral change methods which are implemented by the members of the treatment team and the family.
Qualification needed to apply:
- Must have a BSC license. For information on how to get licensed or what a BSC license is, check the PA Board of Medicine Website.
- Experience or training in ABA/Behavioral Modification Techniques Required
- Act 33/34 clearances
- Must be willing to travel to homes in Allegheny County
Position: Mobile Therapist (MT)
A MT is a graduate with a mental health degree and at least one year experience in a CASS system or employed by a licensed mental health services agency or subcontracted agency. An MT provides intensive therapeutic services to a child and family in settings other than the traditional office, (school, child’s home, church, community center…). The services of the MT vary according to the individualized needs of the child and family. The MT can also serve as the lead clinician and this would include the duties of a BSC.
Qualification needed to apply:
- Master’s Degree in Social Science Field (Psychology, Education, Social Work, etc...)
- 6 months experience in the wraparound field, prior to working as a MT
- Experience or training in ABA/Behavioral Modification Techniques highly recommended
- Act 33/34 clearances
- Must be willing to travel to homes in Allegheny County
Position: Therapeutic Staff Support Therapist (TSS)
A TSS is a Bachelor’s level mental health worker or an individual with and associate’s degree (60 or more credits) and 3 years of experience working in a child serving system. The position also requires training and experience in crisis intervention which can be provided by Alliance. TSS services may include positive behavioral reinforcement, emotional support, time-structuring activities and time-out strategies, or other activities as prescribed in the child’s treatment plan and crisis intervention techniques that are provided by the BSC. TSS services are provided directly to the child in their home, school, and/or community setting. Hours and Days are flexible, but you must be available to work evenings (except if hired for summer or substitute position).
Qualification needed to apply:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science Field (Psychology, Education, Social Work, etc...), or Bachelor’s Degree in any field with one year paid experience working with children, or 60 college credits and 3 years paid experience working with children.
- Experience or training in ABA/Behavioral Modification Techniques preferred
- Act 33/34 clearances
- Must be willing to travel to homes in Allegheny County
